StintLab

The boring but important page

Refunds, privacy & licence.

In plain language, because a policy nobody can read is not a policy. Where the law in your country gives you more than this page does, the law wins.

Refunds

StintLab is a one-off purchase of downloadable software, and the honest test of whether it works for you takes one evening of driving.

14 days, no argumentEmail us within 14 days of buying and say you want the money back, and you get it back. You do not have to justify it, and you do not have to prove you uninstalled anything.

What we will ask you for

What happens to your laps

Nothing. Refunded or not, the laps StintLab recorded are files in your own folder and they stay there. We could not delete them if we wanted to — there is no server, no account and no connection back to us.

After 14 days

Ask anyway. If StintLab cannot read your game, or a bug means the lap times it shows you are wrong, that is not a satisfaction question and the refund window does not really apply to it — we would rather refund you than have a driver paying for something that does not work.

Who you are actually paying

StintLab is made and sold by As Smart Enterprises LLP (as-smart.enterprises) — the company behind the software, this website and the email address at the bottom of this page.

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, who act as the merchant of record for the sale. That means:

Dodo tells us, by webhook, that a payment happened: the payment id, the email address and name you bought with, the billing country, the amount and currency, and any refund or dispute. We keep that so we can find your order when you write to us. We never receive your card number.

Privacy

The app

StintLab has no server, so it has nothing to send anywhereIt does not phone home, check a licence over the network, collect analytics, or open an outbound connection. The one socket it opens is a local UDP listener on port 20777 so it can hear your game on the same PC. The single exception belongs to Setup, not the app: StintLab's window is drawn by Microsoft Edge WebView2, and if your PC does not have it, Setup runs Microsoft's own installer for it, which downloads from Microsoft — once, at install, never again.

Licence

When you buy StintLab you are buying a personal licence to the edition you paid for. In plain terms:

Editions

StintLab is sold by edition, and the edition is the year of the games it reads — the 2026 edition reads F1 25 in both its telemetry formats (F1 25 and F1 25: 2026 Season Pack) and Assetto Corsa. A new F1 game ships a new packet layout, so supporting it means a new edition, which is a separate purchase. The edition you bought keeps working on the games it already supports, and keeps opening every lap you recorded with it, for good.

Warranty, honestly stated

StintLab is provided as it is. It reads what your game broadcasts and does its best to be exactly right about it — the packet parsers are gated by golden fixture tests on every build, and the 2026 layouts refuse to read rather than report a lap time they cannot verify. But it is a measuring tool, not a guarantee: it describes differences between recorded laps, and it does not promise that any particular loss it shows you is time you can recover.

We are not liable for lost lap times, lost race wins, or decisions made on the strength of a number on a chart. Where a country's consumer law gives you statutory rights that this cannot sign away, it does not try to.

Not affiliated

StintLab is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Formula 1, EA, Codemasters, Kunos Simulazioni, or any other game publisher. Trademarks belong to their owners. Circuit outlines are adapted from f1-circuits under its MIT licence and are included for orientation; they may differ from a game's layout.
